Swot Analysis Sony Corporation - 1827 Words

SUMMARY In this report, I will conduct a SWOT analysis on popular company, Sony Corporation. This report will include two main goals. Firstly I will try to find and evaluate the strong, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and secondly I will decide whether or not SWOT analysis is useful for such a Imperious brand. I will also include SWOT matrix to illustrate all the factors. The SWOT analysis is a familiar analytical tool, highlighting the firm’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.’ Morrison, 2011, page 158. A SWOT analysis is used to separate the information of a company into internal and external sections. The internal factors of SWOT are the strengths and weaknesses of a company, and the external factors are the opportunities and threats to the company (SWOT Analysis, no date). INTORDUCTION Sony Corporation mostly referred to as Sony, is a Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation. It’s headquarters is based in Konan Minato, Tokyo, Japan. It has diversified business that is primarily focused on the electronics as TV, gaming consoles, refrigerators, game, entertainment and financial services sectors. These make the company one of the most extensive entertainment companies in the world and it is third largest television manufacturer in the world after Samsung and LG Electronics.
